Glossy Black Paint Job?

RE: Glossy Black Paint Job?
probably same price as a glossy red paint job. Usually color does not change price, the real thing you should consider is how much body damage (rust etc) is on yur car. To get an incredible paint job takes a lot of prep work, and thats where most of your cost will be. Paint is fairly cheap, but the labor to make it look good is whats gonna be costly

Also, every place has their own prices. I got quoted for lik $1000 for my Teg, but ended up getting the $350 discount package at Maaco. Most people here will tell you not to go to Maaco, but I didn't have much money.
What color is your car now? If you're changing colors, that makes a big difference, because they have a lot more sanding to do, and it's even more to do the engine bay, door jams, etc.

If you do some research, I bet you could do a lot of the body prepwork yourself (depending on what you need to do). Body work is not hard...if you remember that ANY imperfections in the body will by magnified by the gloss black. Take your time, and don't settle for anything less then perfect. BTW I saw a SATIN BLACK civic the other day. Not high gloss, not flat black....in between. looked a little weird but it was a pretty crappy paint job too.
