Default Foggy Headlight

My passenger side headlight is very "foggy" compared to my driver side light and i was wondering if there was any way to clear it?

Believe me, this happens to a lot of civics. My started doing it, another guy I knows civic did it, it just happens. Now you have a couple of things you can do. You can find the crack letting the moisture in, and seal it up. Before sealing it though, you can turn your headlights on and it should clear out. Then seal that bi@@@. Or, this is what I did, but new ones. You can get a nice pair off ebay for cheap.

what do you mean by "before sealing it, you can turn your headlight on and it should clear out"? Also, how hard are headlights to install? Does the bumper need to come off?

to seal it, go to a hardware store and buy silicone sealant. (like caulk) I recommend clear or dark if you can find it. Hit everything that looks like a crack or a seam.

turn on your headlights for a while before you seal and that should cook the moisture out of the headlight.

They are pretty easy to install, you do have to pull the bumper but that's hella easy. I'd make sure they are aligned properly before you get everything back together because the adjustment screws can be in difficult places.

I have the same problem. My driver side headlight has a haze on it. I have tried buffing it out, and nothing. I tried using rubbing compound and then plexiglass polish. Nothing has worked.

Does anyone know what the hell this stuff is, and how to get rid of it.

i've got similar haze

i think it's the plastic breaking down as it's exposed to sunlight... personally I think I'm going to get some OEM headlights and replace them after I get my HID kit

Is there some way to fix this? I had thought about just putting one layer of Nite Shades on them. does anyone know if that would make them look the same? (and no I am not talking about blacking them out. I jsut want to lightly smoke them)
