I was thinkin aboot some interior leds or neon, and i was wondering how you power them, do you have to go through the firewall to the battery or what.

most interior neons come with a 12v dc adaptor you plug in, you can cut off the plug and wire it to a 12v fused and circuit. you can wire it off the cig lighter just install a switch to turn them on and off

dito just run power wire to the fuse box.. thiers several spade terminals towards the top. just use a test light to see when they have power and use the one you want..... thiers several ways... either with the ignition or always powered.....
but either way you do it BE SURE to use a fuse between the fuse box and the power wires! doesnt have to be a fuse holder.. a simple wire with a spade terminal can just tape around the terminals and push a fuse into the spades

but might i sugest not use neons. try some cold cathodes killer output, low profile and just as easy to wire up. they have dual 4inch, dual 12inch, and even a single 15inch version.
i used them for my underbody kit
of course ya have to seal the transformers and such. cause water will burn em out!
