Default Extreme Paint Bubbles

98' Civic LX

Plastic bubbles in front of car in three places. Starting to look really bad - I think it got worse and is spreading. Does anyone know what would cause this, what I need to do to fix it? Thanks. Started happening like a month ago. And the plastic is starting to peel.

that looks like the clear coat is starting to come up off of the paint. it could be cause from just winter snow or just natural happening. to repair this you must sand the spots and repaint them. i would probably get a whole new paint job on the car.

^What he said, clearcoat failure. You will need a repaint. Usually starts on top of bumpers, hood, roof and deck lid; all areas exposed to direct sunlight. After you get it repainted remember... UV rays are your enemy, wax and garages are your friend.
