Default Cluster swap, fuel gauge problem

Hi guys, I swapped a cluster with a tach inti my 94 civic cx hatch, and it looks and works great, except for the fuel gauge on the right side. The gauge seems to be stuck on full, and I know it cant be full as it has 142km on the tank already. Is my fuel gauge busted? Is there a way to correct this problem? And if not, Im going to swap in my old fuel gauge again in place of the newer one, but I will have to find some type of aftermarket engine coolant gauge in place of the one that will be removed. (on the new cluster, the fuel/coolant gauge are on the right circle) If it comes down to this, can i find a engine coolant gauge? like the stock one to monitor the engine temp for overheating? or can i do this efficiently with a water/oil aftermarket gauges in a pod? sorry for the long post and thanks for any help, i would like to get this fuel gauge working!

well not sure about the 94s..... but i know the 96-00 gauges can come apart.... and then you can just switch the bad parts... that way you keep your milage correct!

check the back of the gauges.......... if its got some screws like in mine... take them out after pulling the front of the bezel off and HOPEFULLY they will be like my newer civic and swapable

JUST DO NOT TRY AND TOUCH THE NEEDLES......... THEY SNAP VERY EASILY AND ARE "NOT REMOVABLE!"

alright thanks for that info, I think the 94 are like your car as I removed the mph tach for km/h with my milage. the only problem i will have now is finding a fuel gauge to swap, my old cluster does not have that small gauge design, it has a large fuel gauge, im thinking ill put that one back in and buy a coolant temp gauge for my car, an aftermarket one, as i dont want to spend more $ on another cluster! thanks again

well if the temp and fuel gauges are in one chunk like that they wont be swapable..... cause the needles arent removable....

what i mean is that the whole fuel/temp gauge piece can be removed right? and in place i would put my single large fuel gauge in. if this won't work i will just put in an aftermarket fuel gauge.

addiction your right you cannot swap in that stock fuel gauge off of my cluster. Im going to just go buy another cluster at speedtechracing ( honda swap and tuning/parts specialists). They have a ton of varieties and types in stock, they even have some mugen special edition one that has red graphite or something like that, anyways i will see what they have, and just sell the tach and speedo on ebay or something. Can this cluster be fixed? (before i buy a new cluster altogether) Thanks man

well if the needles are broke off or one of the dual gauges dont work then they cannt be fixed.... but are still good for parts BUT not a whole lot of people are brave enough to open up thier cluster. and would rather buy working gauges for a simple swap....
