Default Canards?

Just wanted to know what you guys thought about canards, and about applying them to my car. (no i'm not going to be racing)

totally unnecessary unless you do some serious racing.

but they do look good on some cars. evos come to mind...

in aeronautical terms... a short stubby wing forward of the primary lift wings designed to help provide lift at the front of an aircraft...

in bird terms.... a type of duck

in car term... small stubby wings placed forward of the front wheels, typically at bumper height or lower but above lip height

i heard they cause your bumper to crack, not sure if its true...i think they look to extream for a stock bumper, on a kit they look nice, depending on the kit

i suppose if you mounted them to strictly a urethane bumper, the forces created by wind flow would be enough to cause damage... you'd probably have to be going pretty fast though..

as for usefulness on a street car... probably none

i saw an on an S2000 once and they lookd really good with the body kit
