i dont know, i feel like the darker colors make it seem like its dirty or wearing steelies lol... for example on this lancer...
dunno, maybe some people like it, but i think the shinier look would be better

Well some dark wheels are matte (flat), and some are gloss. The gunmetals I showed you are glossy.
Plus, that Mitsu is in a shadow, and the spokes go in really far. Perhaps they actually are shiny and you just can't tell because of lighting. They also might be dirty.

Just get something with a polished lip. It makes it easy to pull off a dark color and not look like steelies. Polished lip wheels are also easy for color change if you ever change you mind on color, just tape the lip and respray. Dark wheels with no polished lip always come off as too dark in my opinion and like you said, get that steelie look.
For a red car....Black, gunmetal, or white all with polished lips. Or just good ol' polished silver.

I'm confused when people mention polished lip... what is this exactly? is it referring to a metallic lip? (I'm assuming it doesn't mean that the lip is just extra clean :P)
plethoric, good advice, i was thinking about getting polished silver... is that similar to the hyper silver i posted pictures of?
