Ok, I WILL start a thread on badges.

I'm currently (slowly) debadging my new LX.

The dealer decal came off OK, and the Civic and LX came off with just some Goo-Gone,

but the Honda emblem on the trunk has two plastic tips that go into coresponding holes in the lid.

WHAT ? ? ?

They haven't done that since the 60's.

Now if I want that gone I'll have to fill and paint the holes?

Any ideas?

Okay, here's what you do. Go to your local drug store, drop $.50 on a pack of Bubble Yum, chew it up real good, then use front teeth to section gum into two parts, insert gum into hole, lick finger, smooth gum and make level with trunk lid, let dry, sand lightly with 600 grit sandpaper, put on touch up paint. It's not a permanent solution, but for a temporary fix, it works gr8!

Yeah,

bubble gum and duct tape is saved for the old pickups

I think I'm just going to paint the badge black and leaveit as that for now.

It's a dark Blue so it won't show too bad.

It's only 2 weeks old, and too young to start bondo-ing.

I wanted the 2002 Type-R Red "H" emblem but a local car shop that mods told me its way too big to fit onto the back of the EK Civic. Therefore, I may have to end up buying these instead which cost a little more and don't look as nice :
