Damn my girlfriends flywheel just went up as well

 

The thing is, I recieved my NEW flywheel cracked in four places along the teeth...

 

i am going to be doing this reallllly soon, i have everything, and am actually practicing on my spoiler... will start on the car soon

 

I am definately interested on the DIY for this, this would be great for us older civic owners whose paint is turning slowly into rust.

 

sbowers, have you done any more coats yet?

as of now, i plan on putting atleast 3 more coats on... we will see what happens, ill keep ya updated...

 

lookin great. i like the look of the flatish white for some reason.

 

did you do any sanding in between the coats, what grits, what brand paint, thinner? how long do you let it dry

 

yes, i sanded after the 2nd coat with 600 and after the 4th with 800. and the paint if rust-oleum. i let it dry for like 7 hrs.

and heres the 6th coat

 

looking good man, when i wetsanded with the 1500 grit at the end my paint looked real crappy i then used the polishing compound and it didnt look any better, so today i sanded it back down with 600 and put another coat on i plan on using regular car polish with the polisher i will see what happens. Damn how did i miss this thread getting larger. Way to go Doughboy
