50 dollar paint job!

i will, when i get another shell to work on. i didn't read through the whole foum, but did they use any clear coat? and did anyone find out if rustoleum is the same, just needs to be thin and completely dry so it will be hard and not chip off

No clear coat...they just smooth and polish the bejezez out of the paint. It is Rustoleum PRO. You must use 100% mineral spirits..not the low odor stuff. White foam roller....

Prep Prep Prep..then re-read the thread..all 23 pages [:'(] Then have fun. Sounds like the $50.00 is doable, but the labor and time involved, 1 week easy, is the breaker.

o yeah, prep work is what i am good at, sand thatstuff down real smooth. but good tip on the real mineral spirits. i am going to find a shell of an 88-91 civic or rex and fix that up inside and out paint it

i read til page 13 and didnt read anything about the odorless mineral spirits. I actually started this process tonight using odorless mineral spirits, however there is no ingredients which makes me think that it is 100% what difference does it make so far mine looks like glass as it is drying

ok well i did my first coat of the 50 dollar paint job last night and so far im impressed here are some pics to document my progress. The hood and bumper were black i should have taken before pics.

Today im going to put the second coat on before i go to work.
