50 dollar paint job!

RE: 50 dollar paint job!
I finished painting my car w/ the "$50 roller" method.
I ended up spending a grand total of around $102.00 and the results are surprising. There are minor flaws here and there mostly due to my impatience, and the fact that I did no body work. Other than that, the paint itself came out perfect.
The gallery link has the final results and the "process" link has the whole process start to finish.

RE: 50 dollar paint job!
Took me about a month and a half to paint it.
It should last as I keep the car in the garage out of sunlight.
However, the dude from the rick wrench left his car parked on the street for 8 months and it still shines like new.
I will see how the paint is affected by time and report back every few months.
My theory on this whole thing is if you are going to spend 3000 on your paint, try this while you are saving maybe you will like it enough to spend the money elsewhere. Plus you can always rework the paint your self in the event of fading chips, etc... If you gat it painted profesionally, you get to keep the scratches

It s funny though. I really just did this
A as an experieent
B Because I dont have a lot of money
and C out of plain old curiosity. I wanted to know if I could do it.
Now I have an emai lbox Full of hate mal from people saying "Oh yeah How's it gogint to look in X years?" or telling me it is going to chip or peel or something.
Settle down folks. Even if it only lasts a month, it will be the one month that the car didn't look like a complete piece of crap.
I am happy with it, and I think it will last since this car rarely sees the sun.
