50 dollar paint job!

RE: 50 dollar paint job!
For anyone that tried painting their car like this...
I just started painting my hatch with some gloss black Rustoleum Pro. I picked up a 5 pack of "Super Fine" (high density) 4" rollers.
I mixed it with Mineral Spirits until it was just a little thicker than water, and started rolling it on the hood. However, the roller would leave literally hundreds of small bubbles behind with every stroke. I let it sit for a while, and most of the bubbles popped and evened out but there's still a few (still drying right now). I'm not sure if I did something wrong (paint wasn't thin enough, need higher density roller, etc?), or if that's how it's supposed to go on?

RE: 50 dollar paint job!
i have did this on a few cars and i have found out that tracter paint works alot better and its a hell of alot shinnier than the rustoleom paint i have some pics some where of my old 88 civic i did and i did it on my 91 celica ill post some pics of it here soon but theres no way in hell i would do it on my 93 civic becuase u have to wax it all the time because it fades alot after time but if its a beater or just for a cheap paint job then its def. worth it

RE: 50 dollar paint job!
off topic, going from reading through 3 pages of that thread to coming back to HCF is ridiculous the font looks TINY lol
but im probably going to try to re paint my Civic with this method. I dont feel like spending thousands for a new paint job, when i could just do it for 50 and have it come out decent....car payments have been killing me latley. [:@]
anyone else have sucess with black gloss?
