I recently wrecked my 01 civic coupe and was thinking about doing an front end RSX conversion. I am assuming that this is possible with RSX headlights, hood, bumper and fenders. Will it bolt right on? Has anyone done this so i know what it looks like? Its either the RSX conversion or back to the civic with the Buddy Club kit, what do you guys think?

 

I really don't have a lot of info on the subject, but I do know that your civic is an EM2, where as the RSX is a DC5 (depending on year). I truly don't believe the swap you're considering is going to be an easy undertaking. Between fender lengths, bumper mounts, even hood alignment, you're definately going to have your work cut out for you. I'd suggest getting all chassis work done and replace the body parts with aftermarket fenders (like the Z3's), hood with an aftermarket (either a black widow or some kind of CF), and the bumper cover with either an original with a lip (I personally hate lips) or a full front fascia from a kit (sorry, not a big fan of Buddy Club). You're presented with an awesome opportunity here. You're not replacing good parts, so go with it. Use part of the insurance money to help pay for the new parts. It's like getting a huge discount on your upgrades.

I may have changed my mind, how much work would it be to just do the 01 to 05 conversion?
