Haha i didnt do a good job of explaining and yah if i could get the right scoop, and if i had the talents, i totally would haha a ram air on a civic would be sick if the right styling was used. Not for performance but to be different. I found a pic of a nice one a long @$$ time ago on google images but couldnt find it last night so figured yall would kill me for postin that haha but dont need to get on my back about it i wont nor would i ver cause i love my hatch too much lol

The difference being that the air-entry isn't down low and susceptible to water problems from puddles.

I'd even consider hood louvers like this...
http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...26tbs%3Disch:1
If nothing else, it allows for engine heat dissipation.
Thinking outside the box a little might keep your (not meaning yours personally) Civic from looking like everyone elses!

Okay, you know what? Go ahead and do your little "ram air" thing. Have fun with it. It's not going to do anything and it's going to look retarded.
You want cold air without worrying about hydrolocking the engine? Cut a 3" hole through the sheet metal in the engine bay between the bay and fender well and run your intake through that and put the filter inside the fender. But go ahead and do what you want to do and ruin a perfectly good car while making any real car guy laugh.
Also, those louvers aren't going to do much if you don't place them correctly.
Oh, and different is not always good. By the way, please never post corvettes, AC cobras, Ferrari FXXs, or Chevelles again when comparing them to something on a civic. Just don't.

get a SRI and leave the hood alone.
SRI=same performance as CAI
SRI is easier to install, easier to maintain(as in quicker to get to filter to clean), and costs less than a CAI.
btw that pic with the hood scoop, chrome rims, blue headlights, blue foglights=bleh

ive actually once a long time ago, ran my intake piping to the fog light insert for a "ram air effect. i keept the stock piping and air box, just upgraded the drop in filter to a k&n and then cumtom made the piping from the fog light insert into the air box.
