Default oxygen sensor and check engine light

I was fiddling around today and took my short ram intake off to make sure everything was clean. I forgot to reattach the oxygen sensor tab before starting the car. Obviously this made the check engine light come on. So I popped the hood and plugged it back in. I did NOT turn the car off first, I thought it would be just something simple and no big deal. The light was still on. I shut the car off and turned it back on, still on. I shut the car off, pulled the entire sensor OUT of the intake, inspected it to make sure it was clean, put it back in, and turned the car on. Light still on. I can't get it to go away now.

You need to reset it by pulling the "back-up" fuse for about 5 minutes. It's in the fuse box under the hood near the battery, or you can just disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for 5 minutes, but I would recommend the fuse.

did not work. Located the fuse using the owners manual. had it out for maybe an hour (got caught up doing something else). Light is still on.

Drive it around a bit, it might go away from that. BTW, there is no oxygen sensor in your intake.

The battery terminal worked. Must be it was the wrong fuse to disconnect. Were you sure about that?

And I meant air temperature sensor
