I recommend the Magnaflow catback. I've had mine for about a month and it sounds so sweet. It's loud when you want it to be and quiet at low rpms.

^ definitely. it's one of the few exhausts that won't give you a headache on long trips.

I really like the Magnaflows and found some for under $400 (I think the price was $360). Their entire setup is mirror-polished (I guess that's why they are expensive) and really does look like a work of art.

haha, thanks for all the replies. Ill probly end up getting the magnaflow then. I dont need a headache on long trips, and I dont need to hear my dad complain which would also give me a headache. So the magnaflow sounds like a winner

i heard a magnaflow, and i have the skunk2 70mm. i can tell you know. youtube doesnt do anything for either of them. tones are completely differnent when not listening through a speaker that a crummy mic recorded. DEFINITELY go with skunk2. it sounds like a beast and does not sound like someone has a can full of bees. people on my college campus are like i heard you dirving and your car sounds dope.... before i put the race header on, it still sounded reallly NICE. now it's just obscene loud with the raceheader, but i got people in rx-8's and WRX's not wanting to race cuz of the sound and they think i got other stuff in there i'm not telling them about. skunk2 over magnaflow anyday!!!

ps- i raced a cobolt SS the other day and took a dump on his face.... to bad i dont have a video for those youtube civic haters...

As I've said so many times, the choice is simple: skunk2 is for those who like a loud muffler; magnaflow is for those who like a muffler that's quiet on coasting and loud when you get on the throttle.

Also, please don't compare yourself to WRX's... it's embarassing really...especailly if you're talking about racing them.

Summary:
- Loud does not equal power.
- "obscene loud" is retarded
- Magnaflow's muffler sounds good; not like "a can full of bees"
- Civics are only civics; not street "beasts"
- Race header on a civic is a waste of money
- Getting rid of your cat is retarded
- Street racing is gay
- The guy probably wasn't even trying to race
- WRX blows away a Civic.

^ The new WRXs are monsters. 226 ft-lbs of torque @ 224 hp intercooled, turbocharged...[:-]. Of course the stock civic siwould get blown away. Kind of makes me wish they put more into the new SI's...but the old ones are about 160 hp? and new ones about 200...so I mean a 40 hp gain in models is decent, but id rather have them put more into it...maybe a 2.4 L. Although the new 08 body style (WRX) I dont really like, I liked the old one better. Id pick the STI over the plain WRX model anyday anyway....but anyway, back on the magnaflow question. Yea im probly going to end up getting the magnaflow, it sounds more proformance wise. And I dont need something making a lot of noise at 2,000 rpms. So magnaflow sounds good to me

EDIT: I deffinetly just creamed myself looking at the new STIs at subaru.com. The interior 360 view...wow............
