lazy people...... WHY.LOL its a good air filter that doesnt need oiled like K N filters do.... which is why i didnt want a K N filter..... to much hassle to oil BUT NOT TO MUCH OIL.... just a huge mess to deal with... give me my dryflow filter where i just have to use the cleaner solution from time to time... which i probably should clean mine before winter....

i just installed a K&N typhoon short ram intake system in my '04 civic lx and i love it. my last car i did what you did, had a weapon r intake, and repaced the filter with a K&N. i'll tell you , there is a big difference between my old car and this one. the whole K&N sri outperforms in every way. i'm very happy with it, and it only took me and hour to install it by myself. by the way, go to your local speed shop and pick up the K&N recharger kit for $12 and clean it every 60,000 to 70,000 miles. you can tell when it needs to be changed when the filter starts to change color from red (which actually is the oil) to dark redish/brownish
