Default Full Exhaust Diameters

Im gettin ready to get DC 4-2-1 ceramic one piece and a full exhaust put on, i wanted 2.25 piping but the muffler i want http://meganracing.com/products/prod....asp?prodid=59 only comes with 2.5 inlet. Should i go with the 2.5 instead or try and fine a muffler with the 2.25 diameter? Thanks...

What size is your stock exhaust? You could always use a converter pipe and just weld it to the muffler, and go down any size you need.

Yeah, any muffler shop would have some adpaters on hand, or even just flare your existing pipe to match the muffler. No biggy.

i have no idea what size the stock piping is, but would it be a wise move to just get the 2.5 in piping?

I would go with 2.25" personally (im getting mine built tuesday to go with my magnaflow muffler) but if you have some mods to back up the exhaust, you shouldn't feel a huge loss in having a 2.5" pipe. but if your exhaust is as small as my 97 LX was you might want to get a 2.25" exhaust built from the catback and have it flared out or adapted to the 2.5" muffler. I'm getting my exhaust flared from 2" at the midpipe to 2.25 from their back.

they can adapt most any pipe to fit your 2.5" inlet. They just stretch it out a bit. And i'd recommend 2.25" if your staying N/A (atleast bolt-ons, nothin major), but if you're going F/I i'd say 2.5" prolly

After driving 400km highway miles and a hundred more with city driving on my new 2.25" header back system and although i have a leak to work out (muffler shop didn't believe in welds i guess) it definitely has pretty good bottom end (relatively speaking) and great top end response as well.
I can chirp the tires and cut through traffic like a knife which is great, but i am used to driving a truck or fullsize american car.
