Default Front mount Intake

I found some front mount cold air intake kits, Would these be better than a regular cold air intake??

cool concept but i dont see how much better it would be considering the air would have to go a complete right angle to get in that pipe... i dunno i could be talking out of my ***. doesnt it look a bit ricey tho?

See another reason I want to do this is I have a throttle body spacer with threaded inside which in a way spools up the air, making a turbo like sound,so when it gets to about 3.5 to 4 rpms it spools up it does make it pull a little harder, and you can hear it when you shift, its pretty cool, fakes people out all the time, and for those dum *** young kids that are like were is you intercooler well if I get a front mount it will be a little more believable, you know what I mean.
