No... I didn't die off or sumsing... lol. I looked into the AEM CAI that ya'll are talkin about & I noticed there are different types. AEM has the V2 CAI, the short ram & other types of CAI. Which one should I buy if I want performance that is on par with my ANSA Silverline exhaust?
I am now wanting the performance... lol. NOT just the sound. I have read all of your posts that ya'll have left for me. THANK YOU!
Another Q I have is this: is a short shifter really that essential? I like to jam my gears into place & I think that the short shifter would make that too easy to shift. I want to be able to yank it out of 1st gear into 2nd gear with a strong jerk. Is yanking the stick shift out of one gear & into the other gear hurting the transmission?
Let me know what you guys think? One more Q for you Civic owners... there are a lot of headers for my 1994 Civic EX, I imagine you guys would say I should stick with DC headers, right? Just let me know which one I should get.

Quick answer response:
ANSA Silverline: Never heard of it?
AEM V2: loudest AEM
Short shifter: shorter exact shifts / does not make car sound better!
Header: DC/Greddy good!

Ill sell you my AEM CAI, that is less than one year old. I've gone turbo, so no longer need it. I also have a DC 4-2-1 ceramic header for sale, however some one is already interested. Let me know if you want the intake, Ill sell it for around $70 shipped, Ill get pics if neccessary.

HEY fast93civic,
I am a newbie... as you can guess, lol. Anyway, since you have the AEM CAI... would you tell me the difference b/w all of the AEM products!!! There are Cold Air products & Air Bypass Valves & Filter Cleaning Systems!!!!! What are all of these things? Is the only AEM CAI for my 1994 Civic the model <<21-401>> for $280.46??? Do you REALLLLLLY recommend me getting this??? Will it give me a NOTICEABLE performance & "VTEC Sound" boost?
The next thing I want to ask is regarding the V2 & the Short Ram... what are they????

If you want to go on performance. Get an intake first. Cold Air is very nice. But if it rains a lot on where you live, you might want to go for Short Ram. AEM or Injen does a good job. you want good performance with some noise, change your headers and exhaust next. Go for the brands that the others has already posted.
Take care of those first 3 things, the rest will follow.

V2 will be the loudest and prolly get the best power gains....header will make ur exhaust more deep tone and give a few hp, if u want to be loud, take out that cat! short throw shifter dosnt do anything for sound, just makes the throws inbetween each shift alot shorter, hence the name short throw shifter...best thing for being loud, take out the cat and put a test pipe in....end of story...

All right,
if I go with the standard AEM CAI for my Civic (not the V2) is that really worth the $280??? OR would it be better to get a cheaper brand? I really don't think that spending $280 on a CAI can make THAT much of a noticealbe performance & "VTEC sound" gain. Am I wrong?
NEXT... what is the differnce b/w the Short Ram & the standard CAI??? THere is about a $100 difference!!! That is a lot for a man on low funds!!!
NEXT... what's the difference between the DC headers??? There is a 4-2-1 & some other crazy headers! SOMEONE with a VTEC... please, help me understand EACH header model.
PEACE TO THE VTECers!!!

Hmm.. not sure what you mean "VTEC sound"
Doesn't the exhaust make a good amount of noise..no?
Running in the high RPM makes the engine go loud
I got a CAI with a K&N filter and it works pretty good and I'm happy with it. It feels like my car is a little quicker too.
I have heard that adding header and test pipe will make it louder too
