RE: Exedy or not Exedy
stay away from the stage 3, the first one is basically a stock replacement, though the flywheel is a nice bonus. but I tend to steer clear of aluminum flywheels like the one with the stage 2. And I prefer Exedy clutches, but I would look for a stage 1 upgrade.

RE: Exedy or not Exedy
I never got my clutch kit from ebay but a mechanic was able to get me the clutch for only 310 which isnt bad. I drive a 99 civic ex and could tell right away after i had the stage 1 exedy clutch put in. you start feeling the "pull" at about 4,000 rpm. was definately worth it

RE: Exedy or not Exedy
I just received a reply from Cris at Pro Clutch (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/90-HO...1245QQtcZphoto)
He says that this kit measurement are 212mm/20 spline count ....
I have a ZC engine D16A8 1990 SI CRX According to Exedy Database referance => ED, 1.6 Ltr DOHC, D16A8, EF7-110<=
Size & Spline OD x No of Teeth: 200X22X20
The difference is in clutch diameter.... I figure that I can not put 212mm clutch on 200mm flywheel and vice versa.
But if I'm getting the flywheel and clutch as matched items. that will be ok?
I'm not sure what diameter is my clutch as I'm still using the car.
Questions are:
1./ Are the bolt patterns on fly wheels the same throughout the D16 series motor?
2./ Is the diameter of fly wheels the same through out the range of D16 series motor? (I do not wat to foul the starter motor)
3./Or should I go for Stage 2 clutch kit from Aimco Clutch Co.. They said that they can send me Cromoly flywheel instead the alluminium one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/XTD-S...2281QQtcZphoto
Any thoughts?
The problem with the wholle thing is that I'm in Sydney Australia.

RE: Exedy or not Exedy
If I was you, I would stay away from the stage-2 racing clutch. Here are the differences:
Stage 1: Mainly street driving, light racing
Stage 2: Mainly racing, light street driving
Stage 3: Racing
I purchased an Exedy stage-1 for my turbo'd civic off ebay, and I love it. I take off pretty quick now. I hope this helps.
