Custom Exhaust Vs. Name Brand

RE: Custom Exhaust Vs. Name Brand
Well I will say it is not the first time I have seen first hand(not internet tales) about Greddy problems. I myself along with a freind had mass problems with the profec e01 and boost spikes, he also had problems with e-manage ultimate(he was the 3rd consumer in the U.S. to actually have the product).

consider about 400 bucks for a name brand, or close to 500. i just got my mandrel bent exhaust for 128 bucks at a local muffler shop. 80 bucks for the piping/labor, then 40 bucks for my resonator. its 2.5" too. it looks and sounds great, and can easily feel the difference from that tiny piping i had stock. id recommend going to a local muffler shop and getting custom.

How about the actual Muffler, Should I buy one on ebay and then have the exhaust shop do the piping? Have the exhause place get the Muffler?
Also, what should I be looking for in the muffler, I don't want anything really loud as this is a car that is driven long distances.

Buddy bought Greddy and it was supposed to be 2.5 inch, well it had a couple places that were not bent correctly, the welds looked like ****, and inside diameter only came to 2.15 inchs.
