ghahaha...I feel like an idiot. The sensor is still there but it might just be hanging, not in the tube.

no pics right now. I won't be able to get pics until friday because the car belongs to my gf and I won't see her till friday. She called me though telling me that her SRS light came on and the check engine light came on and I'm assuming the check engine lights is because of the intake.

 

So is the hole too small or too big? if it's too big, you're probably missing a rubber grommet. I have a different car and intake, but you can kinda see it here:

The hole is to small. Only half of the sensor will go in. The intake didn't come with a rubber piece to hold the sensor in. looking at your pic, thats exactly what my issue is.

 

Alright, cool. The hole's probably just the right size, most of the sensor sticks out of the tube.

Yeah. If he gets the rubber grommet, it will be just fine.

 

There's just a little ridge on the sensor that you have to get through the grommet. That'll keep it from falling out.

 

Lots of people say to clear the code by disconnecting the battery terminal. This is a good idea if you have no other option and no access to a scan tool. A better way to do this is to get a scan tool and clear the code(s). Your car has readiness monitors, when you take the batt cable off, the readiness monitors go away. The readiness monitors will not go away if you clear the code with a scan tool. Readiness monitors are important because when you go for emissions, the emissions people will not pass you unless all the readiness monitors have been completed. Some of the readiness monitors have really strict criteria, and you might not drive the way you have to every day to set the readiness monitors.
