Awesome. Yeah I think I will go ahead and get a muffler first then if it's too raspy, get a good ultra quite resonator.

Now my question is, what does the inlet actually mean? Newbie question lol. I know mine now is 2.5 size. Would it benefit if I went to a higher inlet? I feel like it's a stupid question but just want to understand it all for the future. I really appreciate the help bro, I really do.

Vibrant or HKS Hi Power muffler?

the inlet is the pipe on the muffler that attaches to your stock exhaust the area thats weldeed on your muffler now. so you want to match the pipe diameter of the inlet to your stock pipe. i wouldn't get the hks system because for your model year civic it doesn't come with there resonator so it won't sound much different then what you have now. if you notice the pics for the hks system the resonator they use is almost the same size as the vibrant muffler. Hi-Power Exhaust System at PRO Civic
also notice the fine print under 2001-2005 (Rear Section Only) .

True. Okay so I'm going to get a Vibrant Muffler and a Resonator. You said get the 2.5 Ultra Quite resonator? What is the bottle version they have? I just don't want my set-up being quite lol. I want to hear that good tone and noise with my muffler I get.

if you still have your stock resonator you probably won't need the vibrant one. just weld on the muffler and your good. the bottle version is for exhaust systems with limited space under the car. the ultra quite is almost identical to your stock resonator.

As far as I know, I should have the stock on. All that was done is that canister muffler I had welded on. Where is the resonator located? I can see if I still have one. Thank you for all the help dude.

Nice okay cool. So I'm going with the Vibrant Muffler with the Vibrant Ultra quite resonator. 2.5 for both.

The Vendor site you gave me is awesome. Going to cost me exactly $220 with free shipping. You have been awesome dude with the help. Sent you a friend request if that's cool.

if you still have the stock resonator you won't need the vibrant ultra quite that's for people who replace there entire exhaust system and need a resonator. you'll be good with just the muffler. you'll just basically be replacing the resonator with the same resonator and paying the shop to do it which doesn't make much sense. yeah corsport is my favorite online shop i get most of my aftermarket parts from them including my full progress technology coilovers which aren't cheap there very reputable.

Oh okay, then I guess I won't buy that then. Just figured nothing on the exhaust has been touched since 01 when the car was made lol. So updating the resonator would help but if it doesn't then I'll be saving money for my rims and suspension. I'll post a video of my new muffler when I get it and get it installed. keep this thread in your fav.
