does anybody know about the bombz intake off of ebay, my friend has one on his gti and it sounds like a bov and its not his blv cause he doesnt have one

 

well i dont know about the bombz intake cuz i have an injen sri. If this 'bov' ur talking about is the same thing i have, its not a bov sound, its more of a whistle, sexy as it may be, it doesnt sound like a bov. it doesnt mean that its bad cuz its obviously doin its job gettin more air to the engine. For the most part, it doesnt matter what tube you get as long as you get a good filter like a k&n. To be honest with u, this imay sound stupid, but i think the sound ur tal kin bout reminds me more of a kenne bell supercharger, just higher pitched

 

intakes don't sound like BOV... at all. not even the v2...

I agree with GReddy on this one... the tube doesn't matter nearly as much as the filter does (with the exception of say, Weapon R's Dragon SRI and AEM's V2 CAI, just to name a few)... I'd say go for the Bomz intake and maybe a K&N or AEM filter.
