Default Apexi WS2, anything comparable that's cheaper?

Alright well I need to get a cat-back on my car, I hate that nasty steel pipe lol. Now I've been looking into exhausts, and trust me I've done a lot of looking on youtube and on here so please don't post sayingdo reasearch, I have. Now of my friends that have tuners, one has a Civic and has a nasty fart can on his so I don't really know how good exhausts sound being right there, not through vids. My other friends have a GSX and an RX7 twin turbo, so they are no help and basicaly I get burned by them lol. I really like the sound (at least what I get from vids) of the Apexi WS2 but the price is high. Shipped to me from eBay it's $479. I am only working about 15-20 hours a week as a waiter so my income isn't too big, maybe $200 a week and I have high school everyday. So the Apexi is a lil dent in my funds for my car. I don't want a loud exhaust at all since I find them obnxious, my dads a cop so loud doesn't fly too well with him either. So that's why the Apexi had my interest, but my question is is there anything cheaper that'll still be relatively quiet when driving normal that is comparable to the Apexi? I need money for my new MTX subs and Blitz amp I'm buying off a friend and the other mods I'm looking in to so saving on exhaust would be nice. Thanks for any suggestions.

P.S. I just noticed every post I make, I basicaly write an essay lol. Sorry if it makes you not wanna read or if I bore you or whatevs but thanks for reading if you do.

i believe you can get just the axleback for half the cost.

twin loops are relatively quiet and i think magnaflow also.

the bad ones are the loud and raspy sounding ones

Hmm well I haven't done exhaust work to a car and cat backs are just bolt up, but to do the muffler up what all would I need to buy? I know I'd need it welded but do I have to buy any of the tubes and any suggestions on where to get a resonator?

Sorry if these are really stupid questions =P

Go to a reputable exhaust shop in your area and they will hook you up. Most shops carry Magnaflow mufflers, or you can order just a muffler with a tone you like. They will bend a new pipe for you, throw in a resonator, and weld up the muffler for under $250 usually.

You could get a WS2 universal muffler and have that welded onto some custom bent 2.25" piping.

Only problem is that would probably cost you total, after welding and piping, etc., probably about the same as the $370 that jprommel quoted. $370 shipped is a great deal for a quality exhaust and IMO you might as well just save up and buy that. Most quality exhausts run around $450+.

Also, you live in Wisconsin... the A'PEXi exhaust has a special anti-rust coating on the piping. As far as I know of, custom piping will not. Food for thought.
