Default AEM v2 vs. AEM Cold Air vs. Competitors

hey guys another useless post from myself. Anyways im awaiting the day i can search the internet and find thousands of mods for my 07' lol. its just not happening, anyways i was wondering your thoughts on AEM's intakes as a whole vs the competition. Ive heard AEM is good st00f and I was thinking the v2 was a good choice. do you think that the v2 is superior to theirtraditional cold air intake system? and also if there is a better brand of intakes than let me know price is not an issue here. I wanna get this civ up to my LS1's power lol =)

the v2 is superior because there are dynos to prove it. also, intake wise, yes aem is the best (imo).

if your in CA, the stuff you put on your car must have a CARB sticker on it to be legal. the warranty should not be revoked even if you put an exhaust on - that is, unless its the source of the problem.

do you just have to keep a valid receipt and whatnot to prove it?

probably, thats raelly the only way they can prove a professional installed it.

As far as the V2 goes, its actualyl 2 pipes, one pipe inside of another, which cools down the air better or somethin, idk exactly how it works but the fact still remians that the gains are better than just a tube with a filter on the end.

Q: Will an AEM intake void my new car warranty? A: NO. The only time this can happen is from improper installation that causes damage to a vehicle system. If a service technician denies your warranty claim ONLY because the car is modified with an AEM intake system and the vehicle system failure was not a direct result of the installation and use of an AEM intake, please refer him to the Magnusson Moss Warranty act. You can download the Magnusson Moss Warranty act from SEMA’s website at: http://www.enjoythedrive.com/san.

V2 utilizes the frequency change from the different size tubing...its a great intake...i've used others and by far this was the best in my experience...especially if you can find a gen1 v2 it has an extra 3rd stage pipe...it has a tag on it for smog so its all good...
