Removing Bumper Dents
Someone hit my car in a parking lot and left a nice dent in it. The people at the parking lot said that their cameras had a 50/50 chance of finding out who did it and i cant see the tape. Only the police, which meant that my insurance company would get involved and my premium could go up. So, instead of bringing my car to a body shop i decided to fix it myself. All you need is a phillips screw driver, and some kind of heat supplier such as a torch or hair dryer. I prefer the hair dryer because you have less chance of burning your bumper. lol. I have a 2005 Civic but the same idea can be used on almost all cars.
1) First remove the wheel well cover.
2) Use the hair dryer to warm up the bumper on the area that is dented. Be sure not to heat up the bumper too much. It is plastic and can MELT.
3) Push the dent out from the inside of the bumper
For the rear bumper, just remove the bumper and apply steps 2 & 3.
