Want to put 700hp into a 98 ex.....

There's a guy around here building a 600whp Civic using a B series motor, dog box transmission, and as much carbon fiber as he can. Its a waste of money but soooo sick ha ha.
350-400whp is easily doable even on a B series turbo application. You just need to decide if you want a K20, K24, J32, B18, or B20.
J32 (3.2L V6 VTEC) is essentially 300hp without a turbo. There isn't a lot for aftermarket support yet, as far as I know.
K20 and K24 are NOT single cam 4 cylinders... They're DOHC. About 200hp stock. Don't bother with any other head except the Type S head or JDM equivalent. It has the true VTEC system.
B18 and B20 are dual cam 4 cylinder motors. They're very popular, everyone has built one, so there is tons of aftermarket support. You can buy a Darton B20 pre-built block which would probably save a ton of money in labor for you. Honda Engine Blocks
B18/B20's are probably the easiest to achieve the power on. The motor is a pretty simple swap, too. If I had 20k to blow, I'd probably go K series.
Just research a few builds. People have made 300whp on a stock block/head B16 with a turbo. You can do a LOT with 20k and a Honda.

I'm back! Lol. So tell me, why should I skip the j32? 300whp on an NA stock engine sounds pretty enticing. I like the idea of achieving my power goal without having to mod the engine or boost with turbo or super.
