I was leaning that way too, but I looked at the back. They're all stamped Honda, and have all the same stampings. My guess is that Honda had multiple suppliers, and the two wheels came from two different suppliers. The paint even stripped off differently between the two wheel pairs.

Some updates.

Wheels are coming along nicely. HOPEFULLY I can have them done by the end of this weekend, we'll see.

Also, I decided to plasti dip my car. Bought all the stuff from dipyourcar.com for like $360 including shipping. Just went with matte black, see how I like it. Might do it this weekend, but wheels have priority.

My car is throwing a code. P1457. According to Honda's ISIS network, that means there's a problem with the EVAP system. While I have access to all the tools I need, unfortunately they are not for personal use *Grumble Grumble*.

Ugh. Plastic dip was a terrible experience for me. Good luck

What made it so bad? Have any suggestions for me?

Peeled, stained, didn't cover the entire car (3 gallons). CS blew ***. Shipped the paint and then told me the gun was out of stock. Great idea... Ever notice they don't spray the tops of these cars they have in the videos? At least they didnt when i bought my stuff. $300 paint job looked and lasted like a $300 paint job.

Hmm, we'll see how I fare. I didn't get to painting my wheels or car because it was too windy/rainy, and there is SO MUCH POLLEN.

I started taping off my wheels and about 30 minutes later said F*CK THIS. I'm now planning on using Vaseline by spreading it over the top face. Every time I start another process, I think to myself, "Dang, why didn't I polish up some blades or fat fives. It would've been so much easier.." Haha.

Anyways, it's time to fix my car and pause the modifications. The front passenger knucke has a weird click sound once per revolution, only in reverse. Also, that pesky P1457 code.

Oh the joys of owning an older car. But it's getting fixed tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see what this dealer say about my car ha. Auto dash, auto ECM/PCM, Manual trans, and various other easter eggs.

edit: Here's one of the wheels. Pictures makes it look better, I'm ok with that. I honestly like the finish, not too shiny, but there still some evident scratches from sanding.

^Man these just fell into my lap and I jumped on them. They were about 2 hours away, definitely worth it.

Took my car in, and the P1457 code was because of an unplugged connector, go figure Anyways, I also had another problem, a little clank, once per rotation, and only in reverse. Come to find out, the wrong brake pads were in the front calipers. Also bought a new OEM axle because my boot is ripped and my CV joint is making some noise.

I swear I posted to this a couple more times... Wonder why they aren't showing up...

Alright some new pics. I do have to admit, I'm not totally sure about this color. It's a little, uhhmm, loud. But we'll see how it look when I scrape the face off. I used Vaseline and wiped it all over the faces I didn't want to paint. Seems like worked pretty well! I'll post pictures after I finish an entire wheel.

Obviously, flipping some of these over makes quite a difference. The camera isn't playing any tricks.

So the Vaseline idea worked wonderfully. What didn't work was removing all the paint on top of the Vaseline... chips galore around the spoke edges. Eh oh well, good lessons learned, not much money spent.

I started replacing my Miata's top. It's terrible, and I hate doing it. This is going to be a project that I force myself through, complaining and cursing the entire time...
