Some people do a really clean install by using some of the empty spots on that plug for adding bigger speaker wires. Not too hard to do. But that approach works too.

Are you adding a car alarm with all the extra equipment?

^^ Yea, I need to learn how to do that, otherwise I will be drilling a hole for the power fold mirrors!

Super, you plan on leaving the stock wiring in the doors I assume?

^ That crossed my mind, but I wasn't sure if there open pins. My way has a better connection anyways

There is DEFINITELY going to be an alarm in this car now. And not one that just yells every time someone gets near it...

I do, partly for if a "just in case" situation arises, partly because there's really no reason to take it out. It's never going to have power running in it, so it isn't going to short. And it isn't going to get in the way of anything else.

STILL haven't found a bumper....but my new speakers and amp are installed with all the wire run. Woohoo!

Unfortunately, all I have is a POS Head unit. Between that and other weak links, the speakers sound like crap.... *sigh* still have work to do.

I'm glad to see your car is coming back together. I hope the bastards that did this to you get ball cancer and then get butt raped. I live near Milwaukee and this sort of thing makes me weary of driving my car into town ever. After all the wrenching I've been doing I think I would shoot someone for less than what they have done to you. I give you props for not giving up on it.

That is getting harder and harder. My car was broken into like just last week. I had just put in my new Head Unit, amp, and subs. That is all taken now...they also took my backpack with my entire semester's worth of notes/homework. Much worse than a stolen sound system

This time it was a smash and grab. They broke a window and f***ing busted the center console dash bezel where the head unit goes. I now ALMOST respect whoever took my car. They at least had the decency not to break anything.

Shame on me for not thinking it could happen twice. I will never make that mistake again.

Wow. that is sh!tty man. Do you think the same people did it? I would be sick to my stomach if my car was stolen or broken into. I live in almost constant fear since I live about 5 min from Philly. haha
