Figured out how to extend the hinges... now on to real work.

 

Ok, I have progress so far Remember that beat up engine I got well over a year and a half ago? Well here's progress so far (some of it isn't done yet, but is paid for):

The engine is being rebuild by Philadelphia Racing Engines

1. Rebuilt block, bored .020 over using JE forged pistons and ARP hardware on the bottom end. Crank had to be ground too and balance shafts are now history.

2. Head got mopar performance high rpm lifters, crane springs, 1mm oversize valves, FWDPerformance F3 camshaft, Mopar Performance head gasket and ARP head bolts.

After the long block is assembled and complete I'll post pics. The turbo I'm saving up for is a GT30R BB.

Still no new body, so I'll drive this one into the ground first, but really really fast

I also have new tools. A pipe bender, a new DC stick welder, and some other random crap. It's moving along slooooowly, but it's moving along.

 

What was your hinge solution?

 

That was fail Abandoned for now.

 

Good to hear this is still happening.

 

It will be a while... the two major purchases left are the turbo and megasquirt.

Mendeed! Thought you mustve kicked the bucket. You know, from rad poisoning and all around crochety old bastardness. Glad the van is still in the works.

 

Yeah...the van is in the works. I won't post any "plans" for it since I didn't even plan this engine build to be so extensive...it's just at some point it was an "Efff it" moment where I just decided that you only get the car of your dreams once..
