There are quite a few guys making 400+ on stock sleeves, it's all about getting the timing right. Detonation will crack the sleeves, boost pressure alone will not.

o im not saying that it wont hold it. its been done several times. are you looking for longitivity out of the motor like a couple years. or a couple months then on to something different.

Basically, as long as it lasts is as long as it's going to last. By then hopefully I'll have a DD and I'll retire the D16 for something faster.

As I said before, I started to build the engine today.

Ported the oil pump to help with oil flow.

Rear main seal and oil pump.

Mmmm, crankalishious.

All new main bearings!

Crank installed.

We plastiguaged the rods bearings, will be overnighting them on Monday (from Japan) and then putting the engine completely together on Tuesday.

Oh, and remember how the rule of thumb for the Dseries engines is 250whp at most because the rods tend to let go after that. Here's why.

Left: Stock - Right: Eagle

Ahhhh, I can't wait to get this damn thing together.

Well, to think this posted started on the 9th of January.

The engine is finally DONE!!

God damnit I am so stoked to get everything in. Just a few more things to order and then we'll be ready for install.

Sorry guys, no pics though. Didn't have my camera on me today.
