I'll give you credit for doing this much of a build... but all motor sohc is just a waste of time. For the money you put in to it you could've boosted the stock or swapped in a b. Even all motor sohcs won't touch a b16.

I've just heard good things about the throttle body and was also thinking it was a bit overkill myself. They also are only $100. I most likely wont get one. Atleast not right away.
I would go b-series but I'm not familiar with DOHC yet and sadly where I live civic parts are ridiculously over priced. You are lucky to find a z6 long block w/o the tranny for less than $500. I see b7's on CL for $500 lol. The lowest full b-series swap I have ever found was $1000 just for an ls.
So until I find a good priced B swap, I'm going to learn on my first build and once I enjoy the motor for long enough I'll sell it and do something else. IMO it's not a waste of time or money when you're learning.

Ah motors aren't too bad by me, running z6 swap with tranny is like $400? I can find an ls swap for like $700, althought most are obd1 and I need obd2 for emissions, B16s are unde 1.5k, usually 1.2kish, and an H22 is like 1.5k. So I have options by me lol.

Bumper is all painted, put a good amount of clear on. Gonna wet sand it in the morning and then remove the old bumper, install the fog lights on the new one, drill the license plate relocator holes, install the OEM bumper plugs, install the front lip, drill the holes for the front tow hook and then throw it on the car. I hope to get my pistons tomorrow as well as the HID's. Oh yeah, I also ordered OEM black floor mats. It's about time I made something in the interior nicer lol.

Dude I don't care what anyone says about swaps or turbo's they are all the same. Doing an all-motor sohc is gunna be original, sweet and not what you see every day. For this I give you a +1.

Thanks man!

So this morning I got down to business on my new bumper, the paint came out great. I removed the old cracked bumper, replaced the bumper support, replaced the fogs, test fitted the front tow hook and then got it on. No problems really until after everything was done somehow the cable that opens the hood latch came off the latch and I had to jack the car up and pop open the latch with my hand. Not too big of a deal. I've decided I'm tired of the license plate relocator and ordered a license plate angler to mount in the stock position. I'll just keep or sell my OEM bumper plugs and give the relocator to a friend. Also, I got my pistons.
For those of you that dont remember my bumper was messed up when the car got stolen.
