I did not know that lol, btw ive been meaning to ask my tranny is starting to show its mileage. Im getting the notorious 3rd gear synchro going out, does anyone know if i can just get a new synchro for it that way i will just tear it down myself and do it, or do i have to start price checking tranny rebuilds or look for a whole new tranny itself.

Y7 tranny instead. Longer gears, better for boost. Also put some gm synhromesh in your tranny instead of honda mtf. Synchromesh has been known to cure grinds.

Well after a lot of pointless searching i found nada so i just went to google and ebay and searched for synchro kits. Cheaper than a new tranny i guess. Heres to ebay.

Listen to Scott's advise tho he knows more than I lol Im just the researcher type.

Well try syncromesh.

But really if you are going boost you want longer gears. The longer the gears the more you get to make use of the boost...

You can either get it from a GM dealer, which would be pricey, or just go to an Oreilys or Advanced and get the Penzoil syncromesh, it is the same thing. I've ALWAYS ran Honda mtf, it is expensive but that is the only thing that I run from Honda, And I get it free cause my friend grabs me bottles from the dealer he works at lol. Otherwise I run Royal Purple for oil, it is expensive but only the best for the Civ haha.
