well i had to get them apart, and i did that buy stickn em in the oven @ 350 for 4 minute each. By doin that you loosen the rubber sealant stuff..then you just unscrew the chrome housing and tape the sections that need to stay chrome (around the light bulb)...if they dont just screw off (on one of mine it did and on the other i had to tape it).

Once you got them off, just spray them w/ some paint. I used a special plastic fusion kind, i dont think it really matters. Then I just did all the steps again but in reverse order..not to complicated

So..in case you don't know my 98 Civic LX is a automatic...sucks. But with that said, I'm looking to, on top of bodywork, do a little bit of performance, while maintaining the mpg, maybe even increase it while adding some hp etc..what can I do that wont decrease mpg?

idk about just spray painting them, might decrease visibility. I bought vht nite shade, it's a TRANSPARENT black paint. I haven't used it yet, but all the pictures and reviews I've seen have been really good. I'll use it sometime this spring and let ya know. also, I got an idea for your motor to go with your black widow theme, and imo go for the underglow, it'd make it unique, but keep it to a minimum. don't ride with it and such, just make it a trademark y'know? instead of that, you could also do interior lights, some nice ones on ledglow.com

Yeah I was thinking about the interior leds too...prolly red as well, but I don't wanna do too much red lighting..maybe white?

So what is your idea for the motor?

oh **** forgot about that haha. well I was thinking of painting your bay black with a black valve cover with any lettering in red and a red black widow hour glass on it. here's a few pics of my car with red interior lights

I had more pictures but can't find em. I loved these lights, they looked so nice, got em from ledglow. it was the 7 pattern 6 bars of 15" I think. anyway, I had:
1 under drivers dash (above the pedals)
1 under passenger side dash (under glovebox)
1 under driver seat facing forward
1 under passenger seat facing forward
1 under drivers seat facing back
1 under passenger facing back

thanks the the people here on hcf, helped me find a nice place to put em..

also, I'd go with a black interior with small red thangs like stitches and ****.. idk, i love your idea of the black widow, i wish i thought of it

oh yeah, and as for your tail lights, i love the aftermarket ****, however if i were you i'd stay with the oem ones. black out the reverse lights and keep the red parts, i saw it on a yellow jetta and fell in love. wish i had a picture, maybe i'll chop one tomorrow

Default Black Widow

So for some reason my old thread was deleted..hmm
Any who I just ordered some rims, Konig Traction 16" and a front mugen style lip. I'm not sure what I should do about a back lip? Perhaps a mugen style one? I know that someone people in the past have said something about just getting a type r one? Any thoughts?
