Winter driving with Si or EX?

RE: Winter driving with Si or EX?
No, it is just what I was told by the dealer. I was considering a Si or an Ex. They had both cars on the lot so it's not like he was trying to talk me out of the Si I think. He said good winters since 17" rim is required so a 45 profile would cost at best $200.00 each for goodruber + the 17" steel rim price.
If any 06 Si drives have winters on rims other than 17" maybe they could post some info.

The only thing that usually limits the wheel size is the size of the brake rotor/caliper, and they aint that big on the Si. Not doubting you, just curious as to what the dealer was talking about

RE: Winter driving with Si or EX?
I crawled under in a parking lot and looked at a 07 Si rear shock control arm. It seems like there is enough clearance for a 16" rim doesn't look like anything would interfere. That being said I am no mechanic. I sent an e-mail to another Honda dealer asking the question and if I get a reply i will post it. If the dealer is BS ing me I don't know why since I would never buy the tires from them anyways, I can get 16" or 17 rims anywhere.
