Default Wheels(rims) for a civic coupe any suggestions?

I plan on getting a coupe this week but it has stock rims. I think most would agree they are not that good looking but not to bad for stock. They are really just hub caps...

I wondered what advice you could provide on rims.

I would kinda like to keep the normal size 15 because I think 17 and 18's are to big or are they?

Would a 17 or 18 inch tire look to big for that car or cause my fuel mileage to go down?

Do the tires cost more for 17 and 18's vs the size 15?

Im looking for a basic set nothing fancy like spinning things just something shiny(not black or painted rims) and basic.

I dont want to spend a lot I see them on ebay for like 350 for a set is that a good price?

What are some good name brands?
Thanks

i got mine of ebay used and with alittle to big tires BUT not bad at all...
o ya another downfall is the offset is alittle high. was said 44 instead of 40. BUT i might be alright if i get some smaller tires, tho will be stuck with stock height i asume with those rims. but i got alot more work to do before i move into the suspension.... was wanting to do air struts.. but now im considering if i should or not.....
maybe just some good lowering components...

heres mine.... i was wanting black/polished lip... BUT now that ive thrown these on i migh tjust stick with them or that style at least.

they are 17s.... they look freaken huge tho! just check out the comparison pictures from my stock hubcaps.LOL

thought that was preaty amusing!

but best thing to do is just search and try to picture them on your ride

and if ya wanna go cheap like me just keep searching your local papers, and ebay CLOSEST to ya listings and hope something pops up that you like and is a reasonable price!

i did a 5hour drive to get them which turned out to be a 12hour road trip BUT i think it was well worth it after i bolted them on!

just didnt like the tires after i hit a HUGE lift and drop from a crossroad. WOOPS... tho luckely didnt do any damage just sounded REALY BAD!

most thing thats changed is my driving habits! dont wanna blow the tires!!!!!
thats the biggest thing you need to be weary of!!!!! with your stock wheels you have alot of sidewall rubber which protects from curbing and also if you hit a hard bump or pothole the rubber will be a cusion between the hard pavement and steel rim!

I think 18's are too big in my opinion and 17's are pushing it. You can check out some of the rims i am looking at https://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_240417/tm.htm (keep in mind all of the prices for these are for wheels and tires)

17's are a factory option now on new ones.

Just keep the stock tire size so you don't have to buy new tires.
