What do i do about my car bogging down?
I Have an 89 Civic DX Hatchback. Its got a 1.5 5 sp dpfi. The car is pretty much stock. Has about 190,000 mikes on it. I took it on about a 100 mile drive last weekend all highway runs really good on flat and down hill but as soon as i get to any incline at all it boggs down and doesnt want to go over 60 mph, it doesnt do this all the time only after i have been on the road for about a half hour. I mean its a verry strong running car so i dont really understand it. If i go about 20 mins away on the highway it goes up inclines fine, but about 25 miles into the drive going further it will start bogging down on the slightest of inclines. Any thing i can do not too major to fix this problem at all? Thanks.

This is a DPFI, or throttle body injection system that was used from 1988 to 1991. Weak fuel pump will do similar things on a fuel injected car too. Try changing the fuel filter first. If it "boggs" or misfires every time in normal acceleration it could also be the ignition.
Does the check engine light come on? Do you have any codes flashing on the ECU light? You need to look at the ECU itself, which is under the carpet where the passenger's feet would be. There is a single red LED behind a window. Turn the key on but don't start the car. The light may flash a number of times, pause, then flash again. Count the number of flashes between pauses.

Sounds like weak fuel pump.
Think about it, you're going up a hill, so the gas in the tank moves towards the back of the tank, further away from the fuel pump. With a weak fuel pump, pumping this gas at the normal rate would be difficult.
