Default What did you pay for your Honda Care extended warranty?

Hey everyone,

During my recent Honda purchase, I bought a Honda Care extended warranty for the discounted price of $1700. It's good for 6 years PAST the normal warranty and up to 120,000 miles.

I'm considering cancelling it, but before I do, I want to see what others have paid. Thanks

I got the 7 year or 70k miles one. I cannot remember what I paid.
Whoa, I think I just realized it is up this month!!
Anyway, of course, I never used it for anything. After all, my car is a Honda.
And if I did need any work done, I would enjoy most doing it myself.
I think I only got the extended to use as a sales tool, if I were to sell. I guess I won't sell.

I never buy extended warranty coverage. Honda cars will last beyond the 120,000 miles mark. The length of the contract is never a factor since I will easily surpassed 120,000 around the fourth year. All I know that you have to be careful what is really covered and what will be your deductible when you bring it for repairs.

You might want to read this article by Consumer Reports on extended warranties:

I agree with the report. You don't much need it. But I do recall a 1990 Dodge Dakota. My friend bought it and gave it to me. I drove it for 5 years. Then sold it to a friend. He immediately had problems with the trans, which, even tho' he was a car dealer, couldn't get anyone to fix for less than $1600. However, he took it to the Dodge dealer, who said oh, you have the extended warranty. Trans fix $100.
