nah actually my friend has been going to this mechanic for a few years and he has yet to do anything that would cause my friend to distrust him, but i mean the fact that hes in a little gas station and hes going to be doing something as big as an engine swap makes me confsed [:@]

I mod xbox's, but I work at a Pawn shop....sometimes people with skills do stuff on the side to make tax-free money....if your friend trusts him, and thinks he can do it fine, its worth a shot I guess.
Probably cheaper than taking it to a tuner shop...

RE: should i let this guy do my engine swap???
Many years ago I went to Branson, Mo. As we were going north to head home my car just quit. It was Sat or Sun and their were no major shops open. A guy who knew a guy called him and we we towed by a decrepid tow truck to a little gas/junk yard with scrap all over the place. The rest room was 2 inches deep in water. This mechanic(? )immediately pulled my distributor , diagnosed the wire from the points out to the coil had shorted where it left the distributor, called for a replacement, and we were on our way in 2 hours total. Cost including tow-$70. Try that today. You never know.
