Senior Zone Speeding Ticket-- :(
So I live in Florida- home of the elderly.. to make a long story short I am writing this post not to try to prove my innocence but to see what you guys think, should I plead no contest or guilty. To make the story short I was clocked in my civic doing 51 in a 35 mph senior zone. However the officer clocked me from 1034 feet away and the senior zone only started 500 ft from where I was ticketed. So he got me while I was still in normal speed traffic roughly 500 ft before the senior zone. The speed limit was 45 before the zone. So I was still speeding, but only by 6 MPH. I already requested a court date and printed my map with the key showing I was alittle over 500+ft into the senior zone. But everyone keeps telling me I should plead no contest and pay the court fines? any ideas? also if it matters I havent had a speeding ticket in about 5 years and i live in hillsborough county florida. Also I think I can thank my flowmaster loud muffler for getting me busted. Also during the time I was ticketed I was missing 2nd gear going straight from 1st to 3rd my husband seems to think that this will make a difference? HELP?

Where was 2nd
I was missing 2nd gear because my tranny was shot. The synchos were bad in 2nd I had the tranny rebuild since the ticket, hence I had to shift from 1st to 3rd.. probably would have been helpful if I told everyone it was a manual.
