scion tc vs my civic

That's like me saying my stock B16, with just valves and bolt-ons, could keep up to an STI.

Not knocking your Mustang, I like it, but you seriously don't think your V6 Mustang will hang with an Evo do you? I really don't think a knowledgeable car guy like yourself would be serious with that statement.

I didn't say I'd win
However, my old roommate (who had a built Evo 8... the thing spun a bearing at the 1/8th line and still ran a 12.4 quarter mile) agreed with me that it would have been a close race. The kid couldn't drive to save his life; right before I tried to line up with him, my friend (5spd v6 maxima) lined up with him from about a 60 roll and proceeded to put 2 lengths on him... the same maxima I've decimated from 15, 25, 30 and a 70 roll (the closest one was about 4 lengths).
*edit: you also have to take into account that, while I like to tell people my mustang is stock, it's not really that close to stock; intake, longtube headers, high-flow cats on an h-pipe, true duals, short-throw (the shortest throw I've ever experienced in a car), geared, and it's tuned. I could most likely put it into the mid/high 14's if I got a good run in. Granted, the Evo VIII is capable of low 13's with a good driver, but I can guarantee this kid couldn't shift to save his life... and he had 3 passengers.

Intake,Megan headers, magnaflow cat,2.5'' exhaust pipeing, accel thundersport series spark plug wires, engine damper, Aftermarket radiator, . I dont know if my strut bars help, but i have a lower back and uper front strut. short shifter, which makes my shifting qiuck and easy.
im going to be like, you want to run against my civic, i just want to see how it does. just qureus you will probably win.

Yup. Stock ignition systems are way more powerful than they need to be. Basically, if you can get traction on anything less than drag radials, you probably don't need to upgrade your ignition system.
