rubber strips in wheel wells
ok i've heard this from a couple people and thought i'd run it by you guys...there's rubber strips that run on the inside of the wheel wells, i've been told that water gets caught between them and the fender/quarter, causing eventual rust. is this true?

i suppose a small amount of water could get stuck in there, but removing those parts would let all kinds of crud flick up inside the wheel arch, such as wet mud, stones n such, which could also cause damage

they are not needed, unless you're driving in pit gravel at high speeds, you'll be fine, and yes it does cause rust because of mud and wet debris gets caught between the body and the strip. i'm glad you mentioned that, i've been meaning to do that and just kept forgeting. mine are really worn and keep slipping off at the edges.
