royal purple to normal?
When I first did a oil change I went to a shop and used royal purple. The guy there warned me I would always have to use royal purple, unless I did some sort of oil flush. I now want to use mobile 1 or something similar and was wondering what to do

na i dont think it matters.... most synthetic oils are made to be mixed with regular oil....
you can switch to what ever kinda oil at any time.....
just change the oil/filter like normal.
i dont think that guy knows what hes talken about... if the oil does not mix with regular oil then they would have to flush your motor before using that oil.LOL
they just want to charge ya more!!!!!! dont believe that crap!

it doesn't matter. Most synthetic and synthetic blends are safe on seals now, which were initially a major concern when switching from convential oil years ago.

you can go back to conventional, done it for years, know many other people that have done it for years on many different models.......no drawbacks. The engine does just as well. As long as there is the correct weight and amount, you should be fine. Only thing to be careful with is supercharged applications which require an oil that is less prone to thermal breakdown and internal viscous changes.

lube is lube in all honesty.... I run synthetic (whatever brand is in my hand, but will add a bit of dyno in a pinch there is 50% synthetic blends out there so it is safe) and i vary the weight depending on what the temp outside is and what phase the moon is in lol and some times i drain a little oil (about a quart) if i am gonna go racing..... I have never had issues. Most of the dos and donts of oil is marketing i figure as long as the pickup is covered with something that reduces friction i am good to go

It is recomended that you do not switch brands to often. Doing it once or twice is ok but it has nothing to do with seals. The materials in your engine get acustom to certain wear characteristics of a given oil type. Sure it will not make your engine blow right off or anything but make no mistake about it lubricant is not all the same.
Also I suggest Amsoil over Mobil 1
