remote start on manual

ok i have not seen remote starts on too many manuals, but one friend of mine had it installed on his old MX3 and if the car was in gear it would not start, it HAD to be in neutral to start it, so wouldn't that be a smart idea, have it so that it had to be in neutral to start.

ya if all the proper safetly measures have been instaled then it might work! but i definatly wouldnt chance it on my vehicle! to much of a risk!

i have it and accidentally started it once in gear luckily i shut it down in time and it was a straight street with no cars on it.

My buddy at work installed it in his 99 coupe (manual) and it works just fine. Like everyone has mentioned, just make sure you always leave your ride in neutral and take all the safety seriously. If you take it to the machanic, make sure you install the bypass switch, so you can turn your remote start on and off. That should do the trick.
