Default Planning to swap JDM? READ!!!

Well, I did a search on the forums and didn't find any topics on this, but my cousin just called me and said he got his JDM engine in finally. I went over to check it out. Only to see that he was ripped off for a USDM engine and not a JDM.

Now for all you guys/gals that are going to be doing a JDM engine swap please keep in mind that ALL JDM engines will not have a # after the initial 4 letters/numbers. For example:

B18C1/3/5(USDM) - B18C(JDM)
B16A1/2/3(USDM) - B16A(JDM)

Another hint:
JDM valve cover will have DOHC inSMALLER print and VTEC inBIGGER print.
USDM valve cover will have DOHC in BIGGER print and VTEC in SMALLER print.

I felt after doing a search on the forum and not finding anything about this I want everyone here to know and how to tell a difference from a JDM and a USDM engine. It's just the worst case when you paid for a JDM engine and you get sent a USDM one.
