I'm aware of that. Basically, I'll die comfortably thanks to the airbag if I get into a major car accident. Really, the Cavalier is the only thing that is both in my affordability range and is not an SUV. That and it has only 60,000 miles on it. It has a ways to go before it becomes GM Junk. The Civics cost twice as much in that used range, and any EG series I come across are all gonna have problems with deteriorated rubber. I do not wish to deal with that again. And yes I already looked at all the rubber stuff on the Cavalier, which was fine, but a 4 year old car is not gonna have rubber falling off like a 12 year old car.

Well, I bought the Cavalier. It was a girl's car, which she and her mom (who had a matching yellow S10) traded in for some Hondas. That was evident by the skin care products found under the rear seat cushions. Anyhoo, I got it for $7100 (book value is $300 more) after talking them down from $7900. Fortunately, with $1000 down I have easy payments.

Insurance is HIGHER in the Cavalier than the Civic. Just to let you know.

Anyways, I got to sell my Civic THIS WEEK because we can't afford the monster insurance bill (two cars full coverage and two more on liability) so I will accept any buyers for $300 or so. I'll include the parts you need to get it in more drivable shape. Pick up only. Find it in Tavernier Key, Florida.

So here is what I bought.

Maybe one day in the future, after the Cavalier has lived it's course out, I will get another Civic.

I wish I could get a Civic for that much but not here in South Florida. Everything's $$$$$$ here and Civics are few and far between (and mainly all old automatics) for bargain prices. They are worth money now.

I am aware of the Cavalier's history. It is either a good car that lasts a long time or it always has problems. Basically GM justs poops out Cavaliers at warp speeds to keep with sales, so they don't have that refinement and quality a Honda has. But, it is a working car, and once you get around it's shortcomings (like the fact that the factory stereo runs the whole electrical system, which someone put a JVC MP3 system in and tiered off it, or the fact that the door locks are not idiot resistant, or the fact that the headlights suck) it isn't the worst car in the world to drive. I do wish, though, that it got better than 33 MPG highway, but ah well it's the price for performance.
