MPG - What does your honda get???
Hello everyone
i just bought a 2004 ex civic...it's supposed to get 32 in the city and 39 on the highway. we haven't been getting that....the car only has about 4000 miles on it and it is winter-what does everyone else's average?? what have you found to be the best cruising speed to get the best gas milage per gallon?
Thanks!

Well, for starters, cold weather is definitely going to cause a drop in fuel economy, especially on a small displacement engine like a Civic. Second, it is almost impossible to get the kind of mileage numbers that the manufacturer gives. Just for reference, my '90 Civic hatchback got between 33 and 40 mpg (when it still had the stock engine).

I get between 30 and 35 mpg about 300 miles to the tank(9gal). 225 miles city-80%normal, 20% agressive, and 75 miles freeway- 60% normal, 40% agressive. 95 civic sedan 1.5 non dohc, sohc, vtec, anything.
