Default Looking to by a used Honda Civic

I just unloaded a Honda Accord with 215,000 miles on it and am looking to purchase a used Honda. I've found a Certified Pre-Owned 2006 Civic EX withjust under 15,000 miles for sale at $19,900.I'm looking to by something in the next couple weeks and wanted to ask this forum what would be a good price for this car? It has a cloth interior and everything else seems pretty standard. Also has anyone ever found that a dealer would finance a Pre-Owned car. I'm hoping that I can get a decent deal as we near the end of the year. I'm willing to even wait until January if it will be to my advantage.

By the way I am NOT John Elway who happens to own his own Honda dealership in Denver. I just picked a Login name I could remember not realizing it would show up!!

I think it's priced kind of high. With that money you can land on a brand new Civic. Well here in Cali you can and finance already included.

check out these sites and you will see the prices you can get for a much sweeter civic than the one they have selling you. and you can also check the value of the civic they are selling by using this site and act like you used to be a used car dealer and demand the dealer to lower the price

The price may be a little high, but keep in mind that you will have a better warranty than comes standard with a new Honda. I purchased a certified 04 Civic LX a couple of months ago with 17,000 miles. The standard 36 month warranty had expired, but in its place the certified warrany provided 12 additional months and 12,000 additional miles bumper to bumper, and a 10 year, 100,000 mile powertrain warranty.

As has been stated in previous posts, you certainly can finance a used auto through the dealership. However, if you do, I would advise you to state the absolute top interest rate you would pay on a five-year loan...or for whatever length of loan you decide is best for you. In most cases, their first quote for a monthly payment will include a "desk" (initial) interest rate of 9.9%. You can do much better than that if you're willing to negotiate. Best to come armed with some advertised or published interest rates for used automobiles from other lending institutions. In most cases, if you are informed, they will try to match what other lenders are offering.
